The Urban League would like to partner with your church to provide access to our programs and services, including job training and educational programs.
“Partners in Faith” is a series of church-based programs and events focused on parental engagement, mentoring and economic empowerment that includes:
- Urban League Sundays
- Sign-up Sundays for membership in the Memphis Urban League at participating churches
- Privileges associated with the Heritage level membership
Urban League Sundays
Urban League Sundays is a way for members at participating churches to learn about the Memphis Urban League on one designated Sunday per year. Those who join on Urban League Sundays will also receive a 10% discount on the membership level.
Our Partners in Faith team will work with your church’s representative to develop a plan for Urban League Sundays at your church, and will assist you with resources to ensure a successful event.

The Memphis Urban League’s history dates back to 1932. Then, the Council of Social Agencies and the Directors of the Memphis Community Fund recognized the need for a social service organization to improve the living and working conditions of the Negro citizens of Memphis.
