Black Excellence Spotlight: Dr. Phillip Bowden
Dr. Phillip Bowden was born in West Helena Arkansas 01/12/1960. He received his Bachelors degree from Morehouse College in 1981 and his Medical Doctor Degree from the University of Arkansas College of Medicine in 1987.
After completing his fellowship at the University of Tennessee, Memphis in 1992, he began practicing Gastroenterology at the Gastroenterology and Surgery Center of Arkansas until 1994. Dr. Bowden has served the Memphis Community providing painless care as a gastroenterologist since 1995. Currently his practice and surgery center in Midtown provides innovative care to more than 13,000 patients per year.
Dr. Bowden has a staff of over 50 employees and two locations in Memphis, he believes in giving back to the community he believes so strongly in.
